How do I join?

Anyone aged 18 or over can become a member of Esprit de Corps Toastmasters Club. You can get the Membership Application Form at our meetings. Simply ask for the Vice President Membership or approach any other member of the Executive Committee.

How much does it cost?

The semi-annual membership fee is 60 €, payable in March and September. This keeps your membership with Toastmasters International and our Club active. 

How does it work ?

As part of Toastmasters International we follow a proven structure and educational program (Pathways) to ensure the success of our members. Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs.

Guests are welcome and you can bring friends as well. Toastmasters is considered the best kept secret in the world because most members become members through word of mouth. 

Can a guest participate actively during a meeting ?

One member, the Table Topics Master, will present a topic and then call upon fellow members to speak spontaneously for one or two minutes on that topic. Visitors may be invited to participate in this exercise, but only if they wish to do so.

What is the process in a meeting ?

There are 3 main parts.  We start with a welcome ritual, threafter we have 2-3 prepared speeches.  Regular speaking time for each speech is 5-7 minutes.  After a short break we have fun with a table topic session followed by some evaluations. A meeting lasts 2 hours.
